This Month

Wow... it has been forever. I was doing really well keeping up with my posting and then I got busy. Which of course is no excuse. I know. So I have the worst writers block and can't think of what to write. So I will just tell you what we have been up to. First off Wyatt started swim lessons last week. I did private so that he would get one on one time with the teacher and he is catching on so quickly. He has always loved the water, baths multiple times daily, and anytime someone turns the water on, you can bet he is there within seconds. It like a moth to the flame. Then there is Jay. He loves the water but does not like to have his face in the water. He gets in the water well but will not let go of you. Wow can you say Kung Fu grip. I don't have pictures cause I always forget my camera. Well I don't get home early enough to remeber to grab it. I will take some this week and post them later.
Last weekend we went up to Kamas for the annual extended family party. My sister-in-law, Nikki, and her family have a party at their cabin every year for their families and their spouses families. For those of you who know the Franc's, they are not party people. It takes a crow bar to get them anywhere and then they just like to sit and watch. Of course Shaylan's dad didn't go, he has other things to do, but a couple of his sisters did and of course his brother was there. It is good to get out and camp. The best part about it was that we got to use our new tent. Shaylan sold his much wanted hand gun that we finally bought after years (4) of talking about it. He had never even shot the stupid thing. He sold it for what we bought it for minus the tax and bought me my tent. Now this is not just any tent, it's a super expensive tent. I love it and so does he. He can actually stand up in the thing, we can get two queen size air mattresses in there with room to move around, and still have space for our bags. What a great tent. While in Kamas, we played in a horse shoe tournament, which both of us lost, but had fun anyway. The boys loved playing in the pool and the dirt and just hanging out with the other kids their age.
This past weekend (4th of July) we went camping again. We are thinking about making this a regular thing , camping on the weekends. This time we went up to my family cabin in Logan canyon and camped out in the tent again. There wasn't enough room for all the family in the cabin so we decided to use our new tent again. This weekend was fun, with tons of family drama. Always happens with the Bitters family. Anyhow, it was cleaning weekend at grandma and grandpa's and I didn't know so I got to sleep in and hang out with the kids at the cabin while Shaylan helped take the solar panels off the roof at grandma and grandpa's house. When we got there, we just hung out. The kids played with cousins in the back yard and we ate a ton. For dinner all the big kids ( meaning adults(we are still the kids in this family even though I am almost 27)) went to dinner at Hamilton's (I couldn't afford this place anyway so I would have to stay home regardless of being invited or not) and the cousins all stayed at home. We got demoted as we say to eating on the grass and having sloppy joe's which my dad's family calls barbeque's. The drama in the situation is that grandma and grandpa just put carpet on their patio ( who put's carpet on the patio) and didn't want us to spill on it, so we got kicked to the grass. RIDICULOUS. We just laughed as we all sat on the grass with our sloppy joe's. Being adults and having to eat on the grass so we don't spill, whatever. the weekend was fun but I think we were all glad to get home and get back to our rules.
That's about it for us here at the Franc house. I will do better at keeping you all updated.
