Canada Trip 08
Well I am dumber than I thought. I posted a slide show (which isn't working and I can't figure out why so I deleted it) on our Canada trip but never gave an explanation on the pictures or anything. Here it goes. My family (mom, dad, Erin, Eric (Erin's fiance), Nate, Greg, Me, Shaylan, Wyatt, Jay, and Brittany (Greg's girlfriend)) all took a weekend trip up to Tara and Trent's house last month. We left on April 30th (Dad's 53rd birthday (happy birthday)) and drove bloody forever to get there. I had to put new tires on the car just to get there but thanks to dad's love he paid for them. I still owe him a ton of money so just put it on the tab. I am working that off by doing odds and ends around their house, mostly by working on their deck. Anyways... back to the point here, we drove for just under 13 hours to get there. Tara and the great sister that she is hosted a Lia Sophia show for me and I had the best show ever. I just sent her all of her free jewelry and her show. I hope she loves loves loves it. We took Friday to catch up on sleep and just visit so that was great. Saturday we went to Trent's parents house to ride horses.
That is where most of the pictures are from. Wyatt went crazy when he saw all the horses. He absolutely loves horses. He would not get off, even though it was freezing cold. The wind blew and blew and it was pretty cold. Jay liked being on the horse but was pretty apprehensive about riding too far from the wall. The cutest thing happened there too. Trent's dad has a barn full of baby lambs. They were so friendly. Wyatt wanted to pet one so he stuck his hand through the gate.
One of the lambs started sucking on his fingers. He laughed, said, "mommy gook" (which is look in Wyatt language) and stuck his hand back through the gate. He loved the lambs. All the big kids went on a longer ride, I almost got bucked off the wild one, but stood my ground and stayed on, and came back an hour later with bruises on my legs. We sure had fun riding. I wish I had a place to keep horses cause I would have go get some. What a great teaching tool. Saturday night we went out to Waterton Natn'l park and drove around. That is where the waterfall pictures come in.
My husband is a dork, I know. Just look at the goofy faces he makes.
We had fun in Waterton but were glad to get on the road back to Tara's house. On Sunday, Tara and Trent had Blake blessed. That was the main reason we went up in the first place. Visiting her was tons of fun. Seeing her in her element makes me realize how old we are and how much she has grown up. I still think of her as the little sister. I'm not old enough to have kids which means she is way too young to have kids, but I guess I am wrong and we are old enough to have kids. Life goes so quickly. We had a great time and hope to make it up there sooner than later this time. Love ya sis!!
